Fig. 3 - Glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) levels at baseline and after 6 months follow-up in 201 insulin-treated diabetic patients who were either users (n = 112) or non-users (n = 89) of the HumaLink system in two health-care settings. [HMO = Health Maintenance Office, PPO = Private Practice Office]. Comparison of HbA1c values at baseline vs 6 months: HMO users (p<0.001), PPO users (p<0.001), HMO non-users (not significant), PPO non-users (p=0.009, unaccounted for rise in HbA1c). Data with kind permission from Albisser et al (29). Note: Follow-up HbA1c data (at 6 months) only available from 90 users and 77 non-users.
