characteristic is the same as that of the Lente insulin. In your simulation
other Long acting insulins have different characteristics to this...... P.S. I

Your web site is incredible. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for
those using insulin to keep their levels stable while worrying about going
hypo. I'm a Type II and having much trouble, mostly it seems because I keep
getting sick (grandson's maybe?). Seems like the liver's production of glucose

I am a Type II diabetic diagnosed about 6 years ago. Last April my 7-year
old grandson went into DKA and nearly died. He is diagnosed as Type I. When we
brought him home from pediatric ICU he required 23-28 units of insulin per day
and was almost impossible to control.

I have downloaded and used your simulator programme. I am a diabetic
having a few problems with the control at present and could not see an answer
as I appeared to be chasing blood glucose readings. Having used this programme
I can see where the problem lies and can now go to my GP to ask for advice as

I intend to give this to my diabetes educator. We're trying to get my
BG levels lowered again. I'm on insulin now. Have been diagnosed diabetic for 10
years. I controlled by diet alone for 5 years, then pills and now insulin. I'd

I have gotten the full AIDA program downloaded and operational this
morning. Why isn't every hospital all over the world teaching their medical
personnel and their diabetic patients about diabetes with this simulator?

The program is extremely good in its approach. ... I hope that it is
possible for you to keep on with the software, it has helped so much in
understanding the way diabetes works. I personally know of two midthirties
diabetics that have had radical changes for the better to their understanding
of their condition from seeing the examples.

I love what you have done with AIDA! You could distribute AIDA to schools
of nursing. I have alerted the professor at my university and plan to share
the Web site with my fellow diabetes educators. There are so many uses for it.
In particular, while the system is not human, it does allow one to view the
